Wellington Film Society

2008 Season

These are the films to be screened in our 2008 season. All screenings at the Paramount, 25 Courtenay Place, 6.15pm Mondays from the beginning of March to the end of November (except for public holidays and during the Wellington Film Festival). As with any list, it is subject to change due to circumstances outside the Society's control.

Most of our films, for contractual reasons, are restricted to members only - who gain free admission. Membership runs for 12 months from month of joining. We also offer an upgradeable "Three Film Sampler" to make it easier for potential members to sample our films. The Germany Now season is also open to the public, upon payment of a donation at the door. This information will be included along with the screening details.

Thanks are due to the following: Creative New Zealand for the Charles Burnet Retrospective, The French Embassy for the Jacques Demy "L'Enchanteur" season, The Goethe Institut for the Germany Now season, The Korean Film Council, The NZ Film Archive for the loan of the piano for our silent film, The NZ Film Commission; and Cinema Paramount Limited for generously making their facilities available.
